Roomvo does not publish a price list. As of today there is no pricing page and no "Pricing" link in the navigation on get.roomvo.com; the only call to action for a retailer is "Book a demo," so any number you get comes from a sales conversation about your specific store.
There is one exception, and it is the part most store owners are actually searching for. Roomvo's entry product for independent dealers, Roomvo Assistant, is labeled "Free forever" on Roomvo's own site, and the dealers page calls it "Free for independent retailers." The flooring page says it plainly: "Flooring dealers can get started for free with Roomvo Assistant."
So is Roomvo free or not?
Both, depending on which product you mean. On Roomvo's independent retailers page, Assistant is one of several things listed for dealers, alongside Roomvo Catalog, Roomvo Sites, Roomvo Kiosk and Roomvo SiteAds. Only Assistant carries the free label. Roomvo publishes no price for the others, which is why the answer to "what does Roomvo cost" is always "book a demo."
That is not a knock on Roomvo. Enterprise software for a dealer network is usually priced by conversation. But it does mean you should walk into that call with your own numbers ready instead of waiting to hear theirs.
What the free product actually does
Read the description carefully, because the shape of the free tier tells you what it is for. Per Roomvo's Assistant page, shoppers "upload their own photos or choose from pre-selected rooms" and the visualizer runs "on your website," with the benefit stated as "Shoppers never leave your website." You can also "Create, print and place Roomvo QR Codes on product displays throughout your showroom."
So the free version is a website tool. It is built for the customer who is browsing your site at nine at night, not for the salesperson standing in a customer's kitchen with an iPad. The QR codes bring that same website tool into the showroom, which is useful, but the customer is still the one driving it on their own phone.
The catalog works the same way. Roomvo says products are "automatically updated when manufacturers update product lines with Roomvo," and its flooring page advertises "over 250 top brands" from its brand partners, with help to "select which products you want from our brand partners in your visualizer." That is a real advantage if you sell those brands. It is a real limit if a good share of your floor is private label, a regional mill, a closeout, or a slab you bought off a container.
The questions to ask on the demo call
Bring these written down. The answers matter more than the monthly number.
- Which of my brands are in the catalog today? Not "can be added." Today. Read your top ten sellers off your invoice list and ask them to find each one.
- What happens to the products that are not in it? Ask who uploads them, how long it takes, what a texture costs, and what the result looks like when it is a photo you took of a sample rather than a manufacturer file.
- Whose name is on the tool? If the customer sees a manufacturer's branding or a platform's branding instead of yours, you are renting attention you already paid for.
- What is the contract length and what happens to my product data if I leave?
- What is quoted per location? If you have two stores or a fabrication shop, get the second location priced before you sign the first.
- Is there a price for the in-store and kiosk pieces separate from the free website tool? Ask for that number in writing.
What to compare the price against
The mistake is comparing a visualizer to zero, because the free tier makes zero feel like the honest baseline. Compare it instead to what it is supposed to replace or prevent.
Add up what you already spend on the deciding problem: the sample boards that walk out and never come back, the second trip to a house because the customer wanted to see one more color, the hours a salesperson spends re-explaining what a 4-inch sample will look like across 900 square feet. We wrote about why that sample stalls the sale in why customers don't buy flooring from a 4-inch sample.
Then be honest about what a visualizer does not fix, which we laid out in what a flooring visualizer can and can't do. None of these tools sell for you. They remove one specific objection, the "I can't picture it" objection, and they do it in one specific moment. If nobody in your store is trained to use it in that moment, the cheapest tool is still too expensive.
About the result claims
Roomvo's site carries some strong numbers: "up to a 15% increase in sales annually," "5X More conversions," "Shoppers who visualize spend 2X longer browsing and are 5X more likely to convert," "7K+ Retailers use Roomvo," and "1B+ Product views and counting." Those are Roomvo's own claims on Roomvo's own marketing pages, not independent findings, and they are the kind of aggregate number that no single store should plan a year around. Treat them the way you would treat a mill rep's sell sheet: interesting, directional, and not a forecast for your showroom.
The same standard applies to anyone selling you a visualizer, including us.
Where SurfaceSwap sits on price
For comparison, since you are pricing this out: SurfaceSwap publishes its numbers on the pricing section of its site rather than quoting them on a call. Plans run $197, $397 and $697 a month by monthly visualization count, with a one-time setup of $1,997, extra visualizations at $0.40 each, and two months free if you pay yearly. Founding stores are listed at $97 a month for the first year.
The design point is different too. SurfaceSwap is built for the salesperson holding the iPad: photograph the customer's actual room, tap a product from your own catalog, and about 20 seconds later that surface is in the photo. If you want to see whether that shape fits how your team sells, the demo is the place to find out. If your selling happens mostly on your website rather than face to face, a free website widget may genuinely be the better fit, and you should take it.
FAQ
Does Roomvo publish pricing anywhere? Not on its site as of today. There is no pricing page and no pricing link in the main navigation. Every path leads to "Book a demo."
Is Roomvo really free for a small flooring store? Roomvo Assistant is labeled "Free forever" and "Free for independent retailers" on Roomvo's own pages. The other dealer products it lists, including Kiosk and Sites, have no published price.
Why would a company give the visualizer away? Roomvo does not explain its business model on those pages, so anything beyond that is guesswork. What the pages do say is that the catalog is built on manufacturer brand partners and updates automatically when those manufacturers update product lines.
What if my best sellers are not in their catalog? Ask exactly how non-catalog products get added, how long it takes, and what the finished visualization looks like. A visualizer that covers 60% of your floor creates a new problem: the salesperson has to explain why the other 40% cannot be shown.
Should I use a free website visualizer and a paid in-person tool at the same time? Some stores do, and it is a defensible setup, because the two jobs are different. The website tool catches the browser at night. The in-person tool closes the customer standing in front of you. Just price both and make sure someone owns each one.
